When is the fair being held?

The fair will be held on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of May, 2022. The fair is open from 10am until 5pm on the Saturday and 10am until 4pm on the Sunday.

Where will the fair be held?

The 2022 fair will be held in the wonderful Adelaide Hills community of Paracombe at the Paracombe Recreational Grounds.

Where is Paracombe?

Paracombe is a 30 minute drive from the Adelaide CBD and a stones throw from other hills locations, for example, Paracombe is a 20 minute drive from Lobethal and a 10 minute drive from Cudlee Creek!

Will you be a COVID safe event?

The SA Medieval Fair will be conducting the event based on our approved Covid Management Plan, updated by SA Health to reflect the current level one restrictions.

Are we required to wear a mask at the event?

Yes – inline with our SA Gov + SA Health COVID Safe plan, all attendees will be required to wear a mask.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices and information can be found on the welcome page of this website or on the Ticketetbo website at the time of purchase.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased via the Ticketbo website.

Can I buy a multi-day pass?

Yes – we offer a 2 day pass option available on the ticket purchase page.

Will you be offering family tickets?

Yes – we will be offering family tickets. This single day ticket provides entry for 2 adults and 2 children, ages 5-12 years old.

Do you have any ticket discounts for concession?

Yes – we offer concession and student discounts. Please head to the ticket purchase page for all our pricing and ticket options.

Can you buy tickets at the gate?

Yes – tickets will be available to purchase at the gate with EFTPOS of credit card. Cash purchases will not be available as Covid safe practice.

Where is parking?

The Paracombe community will be providing ample parking for the event. Parking will be well sign posted and provided near the main event and will include disabled parking.

Will you have disabled parking?

Yes – Disabled parking will be available near the main event. If you require this please contact event@samedievalfair.org for more information.

Will there be a cost for parking?

Yes – parking will be at a small charge to support the Paracombe community.

Can disabled groups attend?

Yes – we would love to see you there. Please complete the below form to let us know you are heading to the fair and if there are any other ways we can support you to ensure you have a positive fair.

Can I use a companion card?

Yes – the SA Medieval Fair is an affiliate of the Companion Card Program. Please complete the below form to let us know you are heading to our fine fair!

Will there be camping available?

No – there will not be camping available for attendees of the fair. We will compile a list of incredible places you can stay while up in the Adelaide Hills!

Where can I stay in the hills?

As a key SA tourist destination, the Adelaide Hills has numerous locations to stay. We will compile a list, that is by no means exhaustive.

Can I bring my horse?

No – unfortunately we do not have facilities to accommodate horses for attendees.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes – dogs may be bought, especially if they are guide dogs, support dogs or companion dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any pet excrement picked up and disposed of by the owners.

Can I bring my own cosplay/reenactment weapons?

Yes – all prop/costume weapons brought to the fair must be peace bound at all times.

Will I be able to participate in any reenactment activities?

If you would like to be involved in some of the reenactment groups please contact them directly.

Will there be any food vendors that cover those with food allergies?

Yes – a full list of our food purveyors will be available on our website.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes – we will have incredible local food purveyors to support, but, you may also bring some of your own should you choose.

Can I bring my own alcohol to drink?

No – you are not permitted to bring alcohol to the fair. Alcohol will be available to purchase at The Pale Raven, our licensed tavern.

How can I be involved in the fair?

Our Expressions Of  Interest to be involved as a merchant or performer etc have almost closed for 2022, but keep your eyes out for the 2023 call out to be involved!
